How did you find Crested Butte?
We found Crested Butte through friends who lived here, Jim’s law school friend, Wes Light, and Annie’s high school friend, Kay Peterson Cook. Jim grew up in Fort Collins and Annie in the San Francisco bay area.
When did CB feel like home?
Crested Butte felt like home soon after arriving because we felt welcomed and instantly became part of the fun and close-knit community.
Why are you proud to call this place home?
We are proud to call this place home because CB is a community of wonderful people who care for each other, our mountain environment, and act to protect this special place!
What sets CB apart from other communities?
CB is unique because of our location at the end of the road, it is surrounded by beautiful public lands and has a great trail system for year-round recreation. The townsfolk here actively work to protect the community and our shared values. For being a small town, we are lucky for the many varied art, music and other cultural programs that are a part of our everyday lives!
